Table

A table is used to organise and display tabular data in a way that's easy to scan.

Usage

  • Every table consists out of one or more: Headers, Rows, Columns and Cells
  • They can be individually combined in a specific way according to the data to be displayed.

Anatomy

A. Header row

Contains the column titles.

B. Cell row

Contains the table data.

C. Column

D. Sort indicator

To help users sort information, column can be displayed sorting by default.

Do’s & Don’ts

Left align textual data but right align numerical data, for readability. The corresponding headers should follow.
Never use center alignment.
